If you are writing a presentation, you need to keep in mind a few things.

  1. First of all, when people see your thesis, they’re going to need visual stimulus. Once you know the topic of your thesis, choose several images that are suited to your topic. Make sure you have all rights to these images before embedding them into your PowerPoint presentation.
  2. Craft a powerful but brief thesis statement. Your thesis statement should be on the second slide, with the title slide going first. If your thesis statement is too long, no one will stop by to read it. Keep it short and sweet.
  3. Use your thesis outline to break up the content. Don’t crowd your slides with a ton of text - again, no one will read it! Use no more than 2-3 sentences per slide, and garnish your slides with engaging imagery.
  4. As a rule of thumb, don’t use music, sound effects, or cartoonish images that make you seem unprofessional.

These are the main 4 things that you should be doing when you create a PowerPoint thesis!
